    Ice cider season at Domaine Lafrance

    January is the perfect time of year to learn about how Domaine Lafrance’s ice cider is made, a unique product made possible by Québec’s unique climate. Activities for all are on the program, such as picking frozen apples that will be used to produce our Cuvée spéciale Ice Cider, as well as a guided tour of our Cider House and Distillery where you will learn about cider and spirit production.

    It’s the perfect setting to enjoy the beautiful natural area, to take a stroll in the orchards, to go snowshoeing in the mountain, to relax around a bonfire, to discover our winter cocktails, to satisfy your sweet tooth with maple taffy on snow, to enjoy our hot drinks or to have a bite at our Bistro Lafrance.

  • March and April

    Sugar Season at Domaine Lafrance

    March and April mean its sugar season at Domaine Lafrance. For this period, our maple flavoured ciders and spirits, our syrups (maple, apple and barrel-aged) and our maple products are front and centre. Our must-have apple doughnuts are dunked in maple sugar and exclusive pastries are sold at the boutique.

     

    On weekends, maple sap is boiled in order to produce our delicious maple syrup, winner of the gold medal in 2016 and 2017 of the Commanderie de l’Érable’s exceptional syrup contest.

    Lots of activities and new experiences are planned, such as a visit to our evaporator where a master boiler who will happily explain how our maple products are made, a bonfire, marshmallows, maple taffy on snow, music, a picnic area and trails. It’s the perfect occasion to come satisfy your sweet tooth while enjoying a new experience in the heart of nature!

    Apple Blossom Season at Domaine Lafrance

    In May, our 13 000 apple trees in bloom will await you for our apple blossom activity. This ephemeral flowering period offers a beautiful scenery that lasts about two weeks. It’s the perfect time to capture magnificent images and to recharge your batteries in an enchanting setting. Come discover our picnic areas in the orchards, our playground and our little farm.

    On weekends, come visit us at our Cider House and Distillery where you can see where our ciders and spirits are made. Why not have a picnic in the orchards with our various on-the-go options such as our orchard pizzas, our homemade lunch boxes and locally produced hot dogs (only available on activity weekends).   • August to October

    Apple Picking Season at Verger Lafrance

    In the months of September and October, come fall for our apples with our apple picking activity. A festive atmosphere where you can enjoy our facilities every day, from the little farm to the different playgrounds and picnic areas. A wide array of lunches you can enjoy on the go, served daily at our Bistro Lafrance, not to mention our pastries and must-have apple doughnuts.

    On weekends, enjoy the view while feasting on our locally produced hot dogs. Little ones will be delighted by our playgrounds, our apple slushies and our very own apple cotton candy Barbapapom.
